President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy says that he will keep under control the issue of financing of the construction of the Dnipropetrovsk International Airport.
The draft State budget for next year does not provide funds for the construction of the airport, therefore, this issue is a priority. The President also noted that the final version of the draft State budget would be discussed.
“This is not the final budget. We agreed that we were one team and we would discuss the final budget together with the Minister of Finance and the Prime Minister. They have not come to me with the final budget,” the Head of State said, noting the airport issues.
He also added that the construction of the airport was not delayed. It will be built in 2020.
In addition, the President said that the audit of quality of reconditioning work on the road bridge № 2 (New Bridge) was ongoing in Dnipro, so the issue of continuing cooperation with the mayor Borys Filatov remained open.
The Head of State said that the results of the audit would be announced in the near future. «The question of the bridge is still open in Dnipro. We are almost ready. That is, we sent an independent commission – people went, brought information, prepared it. We have just one more week. There are all the answers that have been made there and what has not even planned to be done, ” Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.
He noted that certain decisions would be made after examining the results of this audit. “I want to see the full report and then we will talk to Mr. Filatov. Or we will talk no more with Mr Filatov. In any case, we will discuss this issue about the bridge with him,” the President added.
In addition, Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that he had not yet considered the submission of the Cabinet of Ministers on the dismissal of the Head of Kyiv City State Administration Vitaliy Klychko. “I did not removed him from office. I think about that,” he said.
The President stressed that he would definitely communicate with Vitaliy Klychko before making a decision.
The Head of State noted that he supported the separation of posts between the Head of the Kyiv City State Administration and the Kyiv City Mayor.
