The agreement on youth exchange, which Ukraine and Canada are planning to sign in the coming months, will allow the citizens of both countries to undertake a simplified procedure for mutual trips for study and employment for a term up to 1 year. This was announced during a joint briefing with Prime Minister of Canada Justin Trudeau in Toronto by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
"I would really like the Ukrainian youth to get the knowledge and experience here," the President said.
The Head of State also said that the Canadian side had proposed to include Ukraine in the Trusted Travelers program, which provides for a simplified procedure for the arrival of Ukrainians in Canada.
"We consider this another step towards the future visa-free regime with Canada," Volodymyr Zelenskyy noted.
The President also added that the extension of the FTA agreement between Ukraine and Canada to services and investments, agreed by the parties, would create additional opportunities for entrepreneurs from IT and other industries. "And this means more jobs, better relations between our countries," he said.
