On the second day of his working visit to the United States, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with representatives of American business.
Opening the meeting, Ambassador of Ukraine to the United States Oksana Markarova noted that it involves financial, energy companies, companies operating in the agricultural sector, infrastructure and defense.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy told American businessmen about Ukraine's Transformation Plan, which aims to attract about $ 300 billion into the Ukrainian economy.
"We can do these transformations ourselves, but it will take about 20-25 years, so we need support from large companies, and we will really appreciate it," said the President.
The Head of State stressed that Ukraine is now taking real, not declarative, steps to support business. In particular, the Parliament approved the historic land reform initiated by the President. He noted that Ukraine is interested in investing in the development of irrigation.
Separately, Volodymyr Zelenskyy focused on infrastructural transformations in our country and the Large Construction program, thanks to which thousands of kilometers of new roads and new bridges are being built. An important concession law has been passed, and foreign investors have already entered two Ukrainian ports, Kherson and Olvia.
The President also reminded about the banking reform and readiness to privatize one of the largest banks in Ukraine - PrivatBank, the reform of Ukroboronprom, energy projects and the "green" course.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy also mentioned the law on "investment nannies", when an investor who invests in Ukraine 20 million euros or more enjoys special support from the Ukrainian government.
"Many reforms, many steps. We are in a hurry, we do not have time to talk," the President stressed, urging American businesses to invest in Ukraine.
