President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy had a phone call with President of Guatemala Alejandro Giammattei.
The Head of State thanked his colleague for the declaration in support of Ukraine initiated by him at the General Assembly of the Organization of American States (OAS), which was voted for by the majority of the Organization's members.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy also expressed gratitude for Guatemala's regional leadership in the Core Group on the establishment of a Special International Tribunal for the crime of Russian aggression.
The leaders coordinated efforts ahead of the upcoming international events, in particular with a view to implementing the Peace Formula, and discussed possible formats for organizing the Ukraine - Latin America Summit.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Alejandro Giammattei paid attention to security cooperation. Among other things, they discussed sending specialists and equipment for demining.
The Head of State invited the President of Guatemala to pay a visit to Ukraine.
