During a working trip to Kharkiv region, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a coordination meeting on preparing the region for the heating season.
The Head of State heard reports from Head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration Oleh Syniehubov on preparations for the winter period.
Minister of Energy of Ukraine Herman Halushchenko informed about the readiness of power generation sources to operate in winter conditions.
It was noted that as of October 3, almost 90% of the region's inhabitants were provided with electricity (taking into account the actual availability of people). In June-August this year alone, electricity supply was restored to about 6,000 houses.
Despite enemy shelling and the difficult security situation, measures are being taken to restore electricity supply to about 70 more settlements.
Gas supply has been restored to more than 3.2 thousand people. Repair works are underway in 155 de-occupied settlements of Kharkiv region.
The level of preparation of housing and communal services and social facilities for winter is 99.4%.
Volodymyr Kudrytskyi, Chairman of the Management Board of NPC Ukrenergo, and Mustafa-Masi Nayyem, Head of the State Agency for Restoration and Infrastructure Development of Ukraine, reported to the President on measures to protect critical energy infrastructure in the region.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy also heard information from Oleksiy Chernyshov, CEO of Naftogaz of Ukraine, on ensuring the stability of gas supply in Kharkiv region in winter.
