President to the ambassadors: Ukraine needs to receive the first batches of the COVID-19 vaccine in January already

The COVID-19 pandemic poses new challenges for Ukrainian diplomats, including providing our citizens with a licensed, high-quality COVID-19 vaccine. This was stated by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in a speech at a video conference of heads of foreign diplomatic missions of Ukraine, which began in Kyiv.

"At the moment, it is urgently important to provide Ukraine with a licensed COVID-19 vaccine, and, most importantly, of quality production. The leadership of the state, the diplomatic corps and employees of the Ukrainian special services are working on this task. This is the path taken by all countries of the world, and this is how we should work," the Head of State stressed.

According to Volodymyr Zelenskyy, this is primarily a task for Ukrainian ambassadors to Great Britain, the United States, France, Germany, Italy, and for the Representative to the EU.

"But this does not mean that all other ambassadors can relax," he said.

The President noted that daily statistics of new infections and deaths prove that every day is important for the preservation of life and health of Ukrainian citizens.
