President signed a law on the possibility of enrolment in Ukrainian universities of residents of the temporarily occupied territories of Donbas and Crimea without standardized external testing

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy signed the Law “On Amendments to the Law of Ukraine “On Higher Education” Concerning the Possibility of Enrolment in Ukrainian Higher Education Institutions of Residents of the Temporarily Occupied Territories of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the City of Sevastopol, the Donetsk and Luhansk regions” № 744-ІХ adopted by the Verkhovna Rada on July 3, 2020.

Amendments to the legislation on higher education were initiated by the Head of State.

"We are fighting for the youth in the temporarily occupied territories, for their intelligence and talent. Therefore, it is necessary to encourage such graduates as much as possible to move to the territory controlled by Ukraine, enrol in our educational institutions, study in the Ukrainian education system," Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.
