During a working trip to the Vinnytsia region, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy got himself acquainted with the course of reconstruction of facilities, which is carried out in the framework of the National Program "Great Construction".
The Head of State inspected the major repair of the overpass over the railway on the M-12 Stryi - Ternopil - Kropyvnytskyi - Znamyanka state road (through Vinnytsia). The overhaul of the overpass is part of the GO Highway transport corridor project, which will connect the Black Sea ports of Mykolaiv and Odesa with Gdańsk, Poland. Within the Vinnytsia region, the corridor runs along the M-12 highway from the border with the Khmelnytskyi region to the border with the Cherkasy region. This year the repair of the road in the Vinnytsia region will be completed.
Head of the State Agency of Automobile Roads of Ukraine (Ukravtodor) Oleksandr Kubrakov noted that in 2020 it is planned to repair 104.5 km of roads and 8 buildings in the region.
"We need to increase the number of repaired roads in the region. This is our main task - to make a high-quality infrastructure," the President said.
Oleksandr Kubrakov noted that the reconstruction of five bridges on state roads is underway.
The President also got himself acquainted with the state of reconstruction of the building of the municipal organization "Sports Complex "Health", which is carried out within the program "Great Construction".
"This sports complex will be one of the few in Ukraine and the only one in the Vinnytsia region that will meet the needs of athletes with disabilities, as well as provide opportunities for rehabilitation," the President noted.
As of September 25, the regional budget has already received UAH 935 million in subventions from the state budget for the renovation of local roads.
Also the reconstruction of four secondary schools is carried out in the framework of the National Program "Great Construction" in the Vinnytsia region. In addition, a new school was built in Vinnytsia. Reconstruction and overhaul of five kindergartens are also underway. Reconstruction of the sports ground of school № 33 and the building of the sports complex "Health" in the regional center has been completed. Three sports facilities are being renovated.
Deputy Head of the Vinnytsia Regional State Administration Oleksandr Pishchyk noted that work on all facilities will be completed this year.
Head of the Vinnytsia Regional State Administration Serhiy Borzov informed the President of the plans for the reconstruction of the Potocki Palace in the city of Tulchyn - a monument of urban planning and architecture of national importance. He noted that the Vinnytsia Regional State Administration has proposed to include the reconstruction of the palace in the list of objects of "Great Construction" in the field of culture for 2021.
