Head of State discussed the bill on water transport with business representatives

During a working trip to the Mykolaiv region, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with entrepreneurs from the marine and shipbuilding industries to discuss the draft law "On Inland Water Transport". He stressed that all amendments and remarks should be discussed with representatives of businesses operating in this field and the relevant ministry.

«Administrations of three regions should be involved in the discussion: Odesa, Kherson, Mykolaiv. Also - business representatives in this area and necessarily the Deputy Prime Minister for Industry and the relevant minister. After all, this bill must be agreed with all parties," the President said during the meeting.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy said he asked the chairman of the relevant parliamentary committee why the bill had not yet been passed, and found out that "business does not like the format of its preparation for the second reading".

"People do not agree with some norms. Maybe there are norms where this (disagreement - ed.) is logical?" he remarked.

Oleksiy Vadaturskyi, CEO of Nibulon LLC, raised the issue of the need to discuss the bill during the meeting.

"Let's agree: by the end of August we will have held such a meeting of all those involved in this bill, where all this will be discussed," the President summed up.
