President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy is confident that the possible lifting of sanctions by the United States against the Nord Stream 2 project will be a major geopolitical victory for the Russian Federation. He said this during a press conference.
The President stressed that countering the construction of the Nord Stream 2 is a matter of energy security for Ukraine and Europe, as well as a matter of geopolitical influence.
"I think this (lifting of sanctions - ed.) will be a loss for the United States and for President Biden personally. I’m telling this openly and frankly. It will be a major geopolitical victory of the Russian Federation and a new redistribution of power and influence," Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.
