President initiates the supplementation of the program

The construction of swimming pools at educational institutions will be added to the National Program "Great Construction" next year, which will help maintain the health of children. This was stated by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy during a conversation with media representatives in the course of a working trip to the Cherkasy region.

"We have a global approach to building swimming pools at schools, kindergartens or rehabilitation centers. Where it is possible to do - we will do so. It will also be a global part of our program," the President said, noting that children's health depends on it.

Also, according to him, next year in the framework of the "Great Construction" the construction of roads, schools, kindergartens will continue and the restoration of museums, castles and other "historical magnets" will begin.

Kyrylo Tymoshenko, Deputy Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine and Head of the Coordination Council for the Implementation of the Great Construction Program, added that Shuvalov Castle in Talne, the Cherkasy region, will also be included in the program.

"We must develop our country in terms of infrastructure," the President said.

According to him, the emergence of basic infrastructure will promote the development of tourism, hotels and other businesses in Ukraine.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy noted that during his trips to the regions he pays attention to the nature and landmarks of each region, as the government aims to develop the country's tourism potential.

"Our task is to invest in such large projects, which we will start next year as part of the "Great Construction". These are large, the most important museums, castles and interesting tourist places of our country. Because the road first, and then the road must lead somewhere. Not only to some historical place, but also to a modern infrastructure around it," the President emphasized.
