About a month ago, the Ukrainian government published a five-stage quarantine exit plan, but the positive dynamics of morbidity in Ukraine allows for the mitigation of restrictive measures today, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy told at a press conference in Kyiv.
In particular, according to the Head of State, the mitigation concerns the movement of public transport and the work of kindergartens.
"We expected that it would be at another stage - a little bit later. But we understand that today there are good statistics (on the incidence of coronavirus in Ukraine - ed.) thanks to our doctors, and this allows us to bring some stages closer," the President said.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy noted that the government will consider the possibility of resuming public and suburban transport starting from May 22 at its meeting.
"We can't provide transport between the regions yet, because we have only six regions ready for it. Only in six regions we see normal statistics, where the number of patients is decreasing,” the Head of State clarified.
At the same time, according to him, kindergartens will today receive instructions from the Ministry of Health on working conditions during quarantine starting from May 25.
In addition, Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that as of May 18, all health workers struggling with COVID-19 in 15 regions had received a 300% allowance for March. And by the end of the week it will happen in all regions. Also, these workers will receive a 300% allowance for April.
