President Volodymyr Zelenskyy returned the Law “On Amendments to the Law of Ukraine “On Prevention of Corruption” Concerning the Regulation of Certain Issues of Protection of Whistleblowers” approved on February 4, 2021 to the Verkhovna Rada with his proposals .
"The veto was applied due to the proposal to include whistleblowers in the Unified Register, but there is no protection of whistleblowers' rights. We must protect whistleblowers, change the approach in terms of their security, as in civilized countries. Everyone has the right to apply to law enforcement agencies to report acts of corruption," the President stressed.
