During the visit to PJSC “Illich Metallurgical Plant of Mariupol”, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy took part in the ceremony of signing the investment contract between “Metinvest Holding” and Air Liquide on the construction of the air-distributing complex.
The agreement was signed by CEO of “Metinvest Holding” Yuriy Ryzhenkov and Vice President of Air Liquide Lasad Jaouani. The ceremony was attended by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of France to Ukraine Isabelle Dumont.
The document provides for the allocation of 25 million US dollars. This is the first part of a great project that will significantly increase the energy efficiency and reduce emissions at the enterprise.
“This is a very important event for Ukraine as a whole. This will strengthen the confidence of the western market in the stability of the country,” the President emphasized, adding that the contract was an important signal for investors, who would contribute to Ukraine.
The overall price of the project is 78.3 million US dollars. Its implementation will create 1 thousand jobs.
