Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Andriy Yermak spoke on the air of the United News telethon about the results of the NATO Summit held in Vilnius on July 11-12, 2023.

Referring to the words of President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, Andriy Yermak confirmed that the results of the Summit are successful for our country.

A key achievement was the approval by the G7 countries of a Joint Declaration of Support for Ukraine, including the provision of security guarantees until Ukraine joins NATO.

The Declaration is a framework document that provides for the further conclusion of bilateral security agreements between Ukraine and individual guarantor countries. Such agreements will provide for a set of specific instruments and measures to be applied as soon as possible to provide Ukraine with everything it needs in the event of a repeated attempt at aggression by Russia.

"The security guarantees that Ukraine will receive as a result of the approval of the Declaration are not theoretical. They take into account all the experience of our war. Bilateral agreements with the guarantor countries will very clearly define the mechanisms of support for our state," the Head of the Presidential Office noted.

In addition to direct military support to Ukraine, which includes arms supplies, assistance in the development of the defense industry, military training, and cooperation in the fields of intelligence and cybersecurity, the guarantor countries will contribute to the stability of the Ukrainian economy and energy sector, and provide technical and financial assistance. They will also take economic and legal measures to hold Russia accountable for its crimes against Ukraine and Ukrainians.

Andriy Yermak added that Ukraine has already started drafting wording for bilateral agreements with partners.

He also thanked the participants of the Summit for providing our country with new powerful military assistance packages announced during the Summit.
