Representatives of Austrian business are ready to participate in the implementation of infrastructure development projects in the Ukrainian Carpathians, in particular invest in the construction of ski resorts, after the end of the COVID-19 pandemic. This was announced by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
Speaking to the media in the Lviv region, the President noted that during his official visit to Austria he had a meeting with local business representatives and discussed the development of the Carpathians. In particular, they raised the issue of investing in ski resorts.
"It is very important for us, for me personally. We have agreed that after COVID-19 we will gather Austrian businesses that are specialists in this area," Volodymyr Zelenskyy informed.
The President noted that Austria receives 15 billion euros a year thanks to ski resorts.
According to the President, Austrian business is interested in the development of this area in Ukraine.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy emphasized that the Ukrainian state is ready to provide infrastructure. He reminded that large-scale road repairs are underway in the Carpathians.
"We are already building roads without waiting for these important investment projects," the President said.
