President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy had a meeting with Prime Minister of the Czech Republic Petr Fiala.
The Head of State thanked the Czech Republic for the political, military and humanitarian support provided to Ukraine since the first days of full-scale Russian aggression. The parties discussed the preparation of new assistance packages.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy emphasized the importance of the Czech Republic's initiative to purchase the necessary artillery shells for Ukraine, which are already strengthening our defenders on the battlefield. he leaders discussed the further implementation of this initiative and joint efforts with partners to ensure that the quantity of ammunition matches the capabilities of the Russian occupiers.
The Head of State thanked the Czech Republic for its resolute position on the future membership of Ukraine in the EU and assistance in the beginning of negotiations. The interlocutors also expressed hope for the effectiveness of the NATO Summit that will take place on July 9-11 in Washington.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Petr Fiala discussed the outcomes of the inaugural Peace Summit, the Czech Republic's participation in the implementation of the Peace Formula, in particular the clause on radiation and nuclear security, as well as the progress of preparations for the conclusion of a bilateral security agreement.
