Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Andriy Yermak took part in a meeting of political advisers to the leaders of the Normandy format member states, which took place on Tuesday in Germany.
In the course of the consultations, which lasted more than six hours, the advisers to the leaders of the "Normandy Four" discussed the status of implementation of agreements reached by the leaders of Germany, France, Ukraine and Russia during the summit in Paris in December 2019.
In particular, the parties touched upon all issues on the agenda - from security to humanitarian ones. The discussion was complicated yet constructive.
All parties noted the importance of adhering to the ceasefire regime in Donbas.
During the meeting, the Ukrainian party was focused on security issues and the need to strengthen the security component of the agreements.
Andriy Yermak thanked the German party for organizing the meeting. He also thanked partners from Germany and France for supporting Ukraine on the path to peace in Donbas.
The meeting was also attended by Special Representative of the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office in the Trilateral Contact Group for the Settlement of the Russian-Ukrainian Conflict in Donbas Heidi Grau.
A break has now been announced, the meeting at the level of political advisers will be continued on Friday, January 22.
