Head of the Presidential Office Andriy Yermak held meetings in Paris with the Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs of France, Jean-Noël Barrot; the Diplomatic Adviser to the President of France, Emmanuel Bonne; the Chief of Military Staff of the Presidency of the Republic, Fabien Mandon; and the Advisers to the President of France, Xavier Chatel and Bertrand Buchwalter.
Andriy Yermak and Jean-Noël Barrot discussed the development of bilateral relations, continuing the dialogue between the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, and the President of France, Emmanuel Macron, particularly following their meeting in December.
Special attention was paid to the importance of European unity for continued support of Ukraine in its fight against Russian aggression and for the security of the entire European continent.
During the meeting with Emmanuel Bonne, Fabien Mandon, Xavier Chatel and Bertrand Buchwalter, the parties discussed the situation on the battlefield, this year's military assistance to Ukraine, training of Ukrainian warriors and other steps necessary to strengthen our country's position on the path to a just and lasting peace.
The parties coordinated relevant steps to develop effective security guarantees for Ukraine. In particular, they discussed the initiatives proposed by France.
