Ukraine hopes that at the next meetings of the Trilateral Contact Group (TCG) a list for the swap of persons illegally detained in the occupied areas of Donbas will be finally approved. Such an approval is possible within a few weeks, Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Andriy Yermak said during the working trip of the Head of State to Donbas.
"We hope that the swap lists will be finalized at the next meetings of the Trilateral Contact Group. We hope that within a few weeks we will be able to talk about specific dates for the swap," Andriy Yermak said.
He specifically noted that Volodymyr Zelenskyy, during his latest conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin, initiated a discussion on the release of 22 Crimean Tatars, who are being illegally detained in the occupied Crimea.
"This list has already been transferred to the Russian side. And we expect that this issue will also be resolved," Andriy Yermak said.
In addition, the head of the President's Office recalled that Volodymyr Zelenskyy requested the release of Crimean Tatar Ruslan Suleimanov, who is being illegally detained in Crimea, whose son, unfortunately, was found dead.
