Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Andriy Yermak held a phone conversation with the National Security Advisor to the President of the Republic of Ghana, Prosper Douglas Kweku Bani. Deputy Head of the Presidential Office Ihor Brusylo also participated in the conversation.
Andriy Yermak thanked Ghana for its support of UN resolutions condemning Russia's aggression against Ukraine.
"We aim to strengthen cooperation between Ukraine and Ghana. Ghana is one of Ukraine's most important and promising partners in West Africa. I believe that the recent opening of the Ukrainian Embassy in Ghana will facilitate further cooperation," he noted.
The Head of the Presidential Office emphasized that Ukraine is striving to achieve a just and lasting peace, but Russia is doing everything to prolong the war even further. In particular, Andriy Yermak pointed to the brutal Russian strike on Kryvyi Rih, which claimed the lives of 20 people, including nine children, as evidence of this.
In addition, he highlighted that our state remains a guarantor of global food security and continues to implement the Grain from Ukraine humanitarian initiative.
Andriy Yermak and Prosper Douglas Kweku Bani also discussed strengthening bilateral cooperation between Ukraine and Ghana in agriculture, digital transformation, food security, transportation, and education; they also agreed to intensify practical dialogue in the near future.
