On the instructions of the President of Ukraine, Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Andriy Yermak, while on a visit to the USA, held a telephone conversation with Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary Peter Szijjártó.
The Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine and the Head of the foreign affairs of Hungary discussed the progress of our country on the path of European integration.
"In the coming days, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine is planning to adopt a number of important European integration legislations. We will fulfill our obligations in their entirety," Andriy Yermak stressed.
In this context, he noted that Ukraine is counting on a positive decision of the December meeting of the European Council, which will be held on December 14-15, regarding the commencement of negotiations with Ukraine on EU membership.
The interlocutors also discussed the possibility of a meeting between the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy and the Prime Minister of Hungary Viktor Orbán and agreed to work on determining a convenient date for such a meeting.
