On the Day of Dignity and Freedom, Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Andriy Yermak had a phone call with National Security Advisor to the President of the United States Jake Sullivan.
The interlocutors noted that on this day 10 years ago, the Ukrainian people demonstrated their unity and aspiration for freedom and European values.
Andriy Yermak and Jake Sullivan discussed preparations for the USA - Ukraine Defense Industrial Base Conference to be held in Washington D.C. on December 6-7.
The parties also discussed the results of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation Summit held in San Francisco and noted the importance of the visit of U.S. Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin to Ukraine.
In the framework of the ongoing dialogue with the allies, the Head of the Presidential Office briefed the U.S. Presidential Advisor on the situation on the battlefield. Andriy Yermak particularly emphasized the importance of bolstering Ukraine's air defense in the winter period, when Russia is expected to increase terrorist attacks on Ukrainian energy facilities.
Andriy Yermak thanked the President of the United States, his administration, both houses of the U.S. Congress and the American society for their firm and unwavering support of Ukraine in its fight against the Russian aggressor.
