As part of the ongoing dialogue with allies, Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Andriy Yermak had a phone call with National Security Advisor to the President of the United States Jake Sullivan.
Andriy Yermak informed the interlocutor about the current situation at the front and the actions of the defense forces to de-occupy Ukrainian territories.
The interlocutors also summarized the results of the NATO Summit held last week in Vilnius.
The Head of the President's Office commended the approval of the Joint Declaration of Support for Ukraine in the margins of the Summit, which envisages security commitments for our country. The document was backed by the G7 countries and nine other states. Andriy Yermak and Jake Sullivan discussed the start of negotiations on the conclusion of bilateral MOUs on commitments for Ukraine in the framework of this declaration.
In addition, the Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine briefed Jake Sullivan on the preparations for a follow up meeting to the one held in June in Copenhagen on key principles of peace.
Andriy Yermak expressed gratitude to the United States, personally to President Joseph Biden, the Presidential Administration, both houses of Congress and the entire American people for their continued strong support of Ukraine in the fight against Russian tyranny and for their powerful leadership in consolidating the world around our country's aspirations for a just end to the war.
