Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Andriy Yermak had a phone call with former NATO Secretary General Anders Fogh Rasmussen, who is a co-coordinator of the International Expert Group to develop recommendations on security guarantees for Ukraine.
The interlocutors exchanged views on the results of the G7 Summit held in Japan with the participation of President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
Special attention was paid to the issue of providing Ukraine with security guarantees that will be in effect until Ukraine becomes a NATO member. The International Expert Group set out its recommendations on the relevant guarantees in the draft Kyiv Security Compact.
Andriy Yermak noted that the text of this document is the basis for discussing the issue of providing guarantees to our country.
The parties agreed to further coordinate their joint work to ensure that Ukraine receives security guarantees and eventually becomes a NATO member.
