Andriy Yermak holds video conference with representatives of The Elders, group of world leaders

Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Andriy Yermak held a video conference with representatives of the international non-governmental organization, The Elders, which includes high-ranking state leaders, peace advocates, and human rights defenders.

Head of The Elders, former President of Ireland (1990-1997), Mary Robinson; the 32nd President of Colombia and Nobel Peace Prize laureate, Juan Manuel Santos; President of Mongolia (2009-2017) Tsakhiagiin Elbegdorj; Prime Minister of New Zealand (1999-2008) Helen Clark; as well as advisors to the Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, Daria Zarivna and Oleksandr Bevz took part in the discussion.

Andriy Yermak expressed gratitude to The Elders for their effective support and assistance to Ukraine and Ukrainians during the times of the full-scale Russian invasion.

The Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine announced that on October 28-29, the third meeting of diplomatic national security advisors and political directors of the ministries of foreign affairs, along with representatives of leading international organizations, will take place in Malta. The meeting will be dedicated to discussing and coordinating specific plans for the implementation of the Peace Formula proposed by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

Andriy Yermak said that representatives from over 50 countries are expected to participate. It is particularly important to strengthen the representation of Asian, Latin American, and Middle Eastern countries, and Ukraine welcomes the assistance of all those who can contribute to increasing their presence.

The Head of the Office of the President emphasized the importance of uniting the world further today, especially in light of the events taking place, such as those surrounding Israel and Palestine.

"We are ready to communicate with anyone who respects international law, the UN Charter, the independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine," Andriy Yermak reiterated.
