Andriy Yermak held a briefing on security issues for representatives of the Atlantic Council

On the instructions of the President of Ukraine, Head of the Office of the President Andriy Yermak held a videoconference briefing on security issues for members of the Atlantic Council of the United States of America.

Andriy Yermak thanked the United States of America, President Joseph Biden, both houses of the U.S. Congress, and the entire American people for the consistent support our country has been receiving during the war.

"It is extremely important for us to convey the truthful information about the events that are currently taking place in and around Ukraine. After all, Russia's unprovoked aggression not only causes incredible suffering, destruction and death. It is also spreading horrific lies around the world that poison the minds of people who cannot or do not want to know the truth," he said.

The Head of the President's Office emphasized that the Atlantic Council is one of the leading think tanks in the field of international policy, which brings together powerful and influential collective intelligence.

"The slogan of the Atlantic Council - "Working Together to Secure the Future. Rebuilding the Atlantic Community to Meet Global Challenges" - fully meets the expectations of Ukraine, which does not see its future without a collective and democratic West," said Andriy Yermak.

He noted that the civilized world today has a common goal - to defeat the aggressor country that does not recognize international law and the UN Charter.

"This needs to be done as soon as possible. To prevent people from dying from daily air attacks, on the battlefield, as well as due to such unpredictable actions of our neighbor as the blowing up of the Kakhovka hydroelectric power plant dam," the Head of the Presidential Office said.

Andriy Yermak expressed his conviction that the consistent support of our partners is a guarantee of ending the bloodshed in Ukraine and restoring the sovereignty of our country within internationally recognized borders.

Deputy Head of the Office of the President Roman Mashovets emphasized the importance of briefings and systematic informing of Ukraine's partners about the current defense needs of our country.

"We have to convey the truthful information that is necessary in the current situation when our country is confronting the aggressor," said Roman Mashovets.

Military leadership and officials of the Armed Forces of Ukraine briefed the participants on the security situation in and around Ukraine and answered questions from the audience.
