Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Andriy Yermak met with a delegation of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development headed by OECD Secretary-General Mathias Cormann.
The Head of the President's Office thanked the Organization's Secretary-General for supporting Ukraine and emphasized that despite the full-scale Russian aggression, our country continues to implement important reforms initiated by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
"I thank you for your help and personal support for Ukraine to acquire membership in the OECD Working Group on Bribery. We strive for Ukraine's full membership in your Organization. It is important for us," said Andriy Yermak.
He handed over to Mathias Cormann a letter of response from the Prime Minister of Ukraine to the official letter from the OECD confirming that our country has secured the status of a member of the OECD Working Group on Bribery in International Business Transactions.
The Head of the President's Office emphasized the importance of opening the OECD Office in Kyiv, which is a strong signal of support for Ukraine.
Andriy Yermak told the OECD Secretary-General about the implementation of the Ukrainian Peace Formula proposed by Volodymyr Zelenskyy. The Head of the President's Office emphasized the importance of the UN General Assembly resolution, which was one of the first steps in the implementation of Ukraine's peace plan. He also noted that our country plans to hold a global summit on the implementation of the Peace Formula, which will involve as many countries from different continents as possible.
Andriy Yermak informed Mathias Cormann about the situation on the frontline, in particular the bravery of Ukrainian soldiers who, despite the enemy's onslaught, steadfastly defend Ukraine from the aggressor. The Head of the President's Office noted that Ukraine has launched a fast recovery plan, which, among other things, provides for the restoration of damaged energy infrastructure.
For his part, Mathias Cormann emphasized the importance of Ukraine's progress on important reforms in the face of Russia's full-scale aggression and expressed support for our country's aspirations for enhanced integration into the OECD.
