Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Andriy Yermak had a phone call with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to the United States Oksana Markarova.

The conversation was also joined by representatives of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, the government, and the Office of the President.

The interlocutors summarized the results of the working visit to the United States by the Ukrainian delegation headed by First Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Economy Yuliia Svyrydenko.

Andriy Yermak expressed gratitude to Oksana Markarova and the entire team of the Embassy of Ukraine in the United States for the high level of organization of the visit, which was extremely constructive and effective.

In the context of considering plans for further cooperation, the parties discussed the initiative to organize a series of visits to the United States by Ukrainian delegations to inform the American society about the current situation in Ukraine. This initiative was developed following a conversation with representatives of the Ukraine Caucus in the House of Representatives Marcy Kaptur, Mike Quigley and Gregory Meeks.

The groups of delegates are expected to include MPs, representatives of the Ukrainian government, and Ukrainian citizens affected by Russian aggression. These include children who have been returned from Russia, internally displaced persons, citizens whose homes were destroyed as a result of Russian missile terror, farmers who lost their farms as a result of the Kakhovka hydroelectric power plant explosion, and war veterans.

Ukrainians will directly share their life stories with American society.
