Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Andriy Yermak met with representatives of public organizations, business and authorities to discuss cooperation in the production of weapons and ammunition.
The event was attended by First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy Yuliia Svyrydenko, Deputy Prime Minister for Innovation, Education, Science and Technology Development and Minister of Digital Transformation of Ukraine Mykhailo Fedorov, Minister for Strategic Industries Oleksandr Kamyshin, First Deputy Minister of Defense Ivan Havryliuk, Deputy Minister for Strategic Industries Anna Gvozdiar, and Advisor to the Head of the Presidential Office Dariia Zarivna.
Andriy Yermak emphasized that the state, the public and the business community should establish a dialogue on strengthening Ukrainian defense production. He also spoke about agreements with partner countries on military assistance to Ukraine.
“We realize that the assistance we receive today is not enough. Therefore, we have no alternative to our own production. I believe that we have made great progress in certain areas. But we need joint work that will give us the desired result,” the Head of the Presidential Office said.
He urged business representatives to contact the Council for Support of Entrepreneurship during Martial Law under the Head of State with proposals and projects in the field of defense production.
The participants of the meeting discussed ways of interaction between the public and the authorities regarding contracts for the manufacture of defense products, the formation of tactical and technical characteristics, and the timing of state orders, taking into account the current tasks facing the Defense Forces of Ukraine.
