Deputy Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Andrii Sybiha met with Resident Representative of the United Nations Development Program in Ukraine Jaco Cilliers.
Andrii Sybiha praised the assistance provided by UNDP to Ukraine in the face of Russia's full-scale aggression.
"We are grateful for the scale and effectiveness of the UNDP's work. Projects worth almost $400 million are a significant contribution to the post-war development of our country. We are especially grateful for the commitment announced during the Ukraine Recovery Conference in London to expand UNDP's reconstruction activities up to $1 billion. This is an efficiency and focus on results nontypical for many international organizations," the Deputy Head of the Presidential Office emphasized.
The interlocutors discussed in detail the main areas of UNDP's activities in Ukraine, including programs to support veterans and internally displaced persons, rebuilding the energy sector based on energy efficiency, restoring schools and hospitals damaged by Russian attacks, humanitarian demining, anti-corruption initiatives and support for small businesses in Ukraine.
