President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy spoked with a social activist Ruslan Khanumak, who had told about the most topical issues of the regional center during a working visit to the Zaporizhzhya region, on July 18. Ruslan Khanumak read an appeal from Zaporizhzhya residents, in particular, about the problem of drug trafficking, as well as illegal pawn shops and gambling establishments.
"Drug trafficking must be stopped at all. We are preparing a big bill on gaming machines and pawn shops", the President said, appealing to the Mayor and Chief of Police Department.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy urged Mayor of Zaporizhzhya to pay attention to the necessity of solving ecological problems of the city.
"Please, contact all enterprises so that they understand the ecosystem and the ecological situation in such cities are very complicated," he said.
For his part, Deputy Head of the Office of the President Oleksiy Goncharuk appealed to the city authorities to allow a planned inspection on "Zaporizhstal", which should take place in the autumn.
Particular attention was paid to the problem of ambrosia, which causes allergic diseases in inhabitants of Zaporizhzhya. Mayor Volodymyr Buryak spoke about the program of struggling with this plant.
Another problem is the renovation of rolling stock of urban transport and its equipment with air conditioners. The President asked how much money the city needs for the purchase of modern transport. The Mayor stressed that the relevant program will be implemented in the near future.
"Do it immediately," Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.
The Head of State gave a task to show the first results in solving these problems before October 15.
"On October 15, we will come and check three issues: air conditioners in trolleybuses, fight against drug traffickers and the issue of ambrosia," the President summed up.
