As part of the Grain from Ukraine humanitarian program launched by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy on November 26 during the founding International Summit on Food Security, more than 30 countries and international organizations have already declared their support for this important project.

During the meeting, the Head of the Office of the President and the U.S. Department of State Sanctions Coordinator exchanged views on the effectiveness of the restrictive measures taken against Russia at this stage, as well as the prospects for their expansion.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy noted the significant defense, financial and humanitarian assistance of the Baltic and Northern European partners in the face of Russia's full-scale armed aggression.

Staff members also heard information from the intelligence chiefs about the enemy's plans for the near future. Ways of responding to possible challenges related to the actions of the enemy were agreed upon.

To endure now and defend ourselves now is to endure and defend ourselves for generations to come for all Ukrainians throughout our beautiful land.

First Lady of Ukraine Olena Zelenska gave an interview in Kyiv to journalists of BBC, British television and radio broadcasting corporation. She spoke about the mood of Ukrainians during the period of massive power outages caused by Russian shelling of critical infrastructure.

Today we support the initiative of Ukraine and we are launching the Humanitarian Program "Grain from Ukraine" which will establish the framework to deliver Ukrainian food to the countries of Africa and Asia, which are most affected by hunger.

"The essence of our new humanitarian initiative is very simple, transparent, very important. We plan to send at least 60 ships from Ukrainian ports to the countries most affected by the food crisis and that are in need of urgent aid," the Head of State said.

If it weren't for Ukrainian food, if it weren't for our joint leadership with our partners, social stability in such regions as North Africa or the Middle East would not have been maintained. This is exactly what Russia wanted. We must – and we can! – not allow this.

On the 90th anniversary of the Holodomor of 1932-1933, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky and First Lady Olena Zelenska together with Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Belgium Alexander De Croo and Prime Minister of the Republic of Lithuania Ingrida Šimonytė took part in a ceremony to commemorate the victims of the famine in Ukraine.
