The Head of State tasked Oleksandr Kubrakov, Deputy Prime Minister for Restoration of Ukraine – Minister for Communities, Territories and Infrastructure Development, to address the issue of direct train connection between Slavutych and Kyiv, without a stopover in Chernihiv.

The President expressed his respect to all the people in Slavutych for saving us all then and helping Ukraine in the spring of 2022, during the full-scale Russian invasion.

I would also like to express our respect to all the people in Slavutych – each and every one of them who retained the courage and dedication to protecting lives that saved us all in 1986 and helped Ukraine in the spring of 2022. Slavutych did not submit to the occupiers.

The First Lady of Ukraine Olena Zelenska joined online the International Presentation of the results of the Survey on Social and Emotional Skills (SSES 2023) that took place in Bulgaria.

Daria Herasymchuk, Advisor – Presidential Commissioner for Children's Rights and Child Rehabilitation, took part in the presentation of the book Living the War: Children during the Russian war against Ukraine. It was published as part of the Bring Kids Back UA action plan aimed at returning Ukrainian children abducted by the aggressor state of Russia.

Deputy Head of the Presidential Office Iryna Mudra met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to Ukraine Kuninori Matsuda.

First Lady Olena Zelenska took part in the Children's Reading Without Barriers round table at the Book Country festival, which was dedicated to the availability of children's literature in Ukraine.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy had phone conversations with Speaker of the House of Representatives Mike Johnson, Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell and Senate Democratic Majority Leader Chuck Schumer.

The Embassy of the Netherlands in Ukraine hosted a discussion on the possibility of bringing the aggressor state of Russia to justice for the shelling of energy facilities. The event was attended by Deputy Head of the Presidential Office Iryna Mudra, Prosecutor General Andriy Kostin and foreign diplomats.
