Ihor Zhovkva thanked for the important signals in support of Ukraine during participation of Manuel Tovar Rivera in the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) ministerial meeting in Paris the day before, in particular for the Costa Rican government's strong condemnation of Russia's unprovoked war against Ukraine and the Russian attack on the Kakhovka hydroelectric power plant.

During a working visit to Mykolaiv region, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy inspected the condition of the main pumping station of the Inhulets River Canal Management, which was flooded due to the blasting of the Kakhovka hydroelectric power plant dam.

In Kherson, the Head of State also visited one of the points of evacuation from the flooded territories.

The President instructed to fairly calculate the losses and allocate funds to compensate the residents affected by the disaster. In addition, the Head of State instructed to develop a program to compensate for losses or relocate enterprises within Kherson region.

The situation in the occupied part of Kherson region is absolutely catastrophic. The occupiers simply abandoned people in these terrible conditions. Without rescue, without water, just on the rooftops in flooded communities.

The President of Ukraine informed the President of France on the current situation in Kherson region affected as a result of blowing up the dam at the Kakhovka HPP by Russian invaders.

The deliberate destruction of the hydroelectric dam by terrorists looks the same from all corners of the world. For Africa, Europe, the United States, China, Australia, and India, man-made disasters are evil.

I am grateful to everyone who is currently evacuating people from the towns and villages flooded by water from the Kakhovka reservoir. It is very important now to take care of each other and help as much as possible.

The discussion of the future of the Russian Federation by world leaders is a positive signal, but any scenario cannot be realized at the expense of Ukraine. This was stated by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy during a conversation with media representatives on the occasion of Journalist's Day.
