We have to end this war, we need a just peace. We must protect our people – Ukrainian families, Ukrainian children – and everyone from Putin’s evil. And we are grateful to America for supporting Ukraine all along.

The leaders discussed the diplomatic, economic, and military aspects of the Plan and instructed their teams to hold consultations on the future steps.

The President emphasized that freedom relies on bipartisan support and determination of the United States.

In Washington, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with a bipartisan delegation from the U.S. Senate, led by Senate Democratic Leader Chuck Schumer and Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell, to present the key points of the Victory Plan.

The G7 + Ukraine meeting took place in New York, where more than 30 countries and the European Union adopted a Joint Declaration of Support for Recovery and Reconstruction of Ukraine.

We, the Leaders of the Group of Seven (G7), reaffirm our unwavering support for Ukraine today and in the future, in war and in peace. Through our collective support for Ukrainian reconstruction and recovery, we will ensure that Russia fails in its objectives to subjugate Ukraine – and that Ukraine emerges from Russia’s war of aggression with a modernized, vibrant, inclusive society and innovative economy, resilient to Russian threats.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy focused on the Plan for Victory. The leaders agreed to discuss it during negotiations in Washington on September 26.

I’m grateful to all of you for your unity in protecting lives. We do value the G7 security declaration and the 26 bilateral security agreements, which fortify us all. And now, more than 30 countries and the EU have agreed to the declaration, truly strong declaration focused on rebuilding Ukraine after the hostilities.

The parties also focused on the implementation of the bilateral security agreement, as well as the Peace Formula, preparations for the second Peace Summit, cooperation within the Ukraine-NATO framework and progress in negotiations on signing the agreement on transition to a stronger and deeper partnership.
