President of Ukraine

Presidential Office

Ukraine needs reconstruction and reproduction in the literal, physical sense of the word. Russia spent tens of billions on its destruction. Hundreds of billions will be needed for recovery. Unfortunately, it is true.

Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Andriy Yermak emphasizes that our state should get its own effective security model, taking into account all available experience, and these guarantees should be reliable and legally flawless.

Andriy Yermak noted in his speech that the unprecedented task of this group is to develop effective comprehensive security guarantees for Ukraine, which would protect it from new potential aggression from Russia.

Ukraine needs effective guarantees to deter future aggression from Russia - military, political, diplomatic, institutional, financial, etc. These guarantees must be included in legally binding and duly ratified international agreements with guarantor states.

Andriy Sybiha expressed gratitude to the members of the delegation and leader of the faction Friedrich Merz for their active facilitation in Germany's adoption of vital decisions for Ukraine in the conditions of a full-scale invasion of Russia.

Deputy Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Ihor Zhovkva took part in the opening of the first working session of the NATO Summit in Madrid, during which President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy addressed the heads of state and government of the Alliance countries.

We are not satisfied with the illusion of an open door. Ukraine will not deviate from its path to full NATO membership. Both the Ukrainian army and the entire Ukrainian people prove with their courage every day that our membership will only strengthen the North Atlantic Alliance.

The European Union, the United States and other partners in Ukraine must complete the strengthening of sanctions against the Russian Federation by imposing a limit on the price of seaborne crude oil, which still brings income to the Russian military machine. This is stated in a joint article by President's Adviser on Economic Affairs Oleg Ustenko and Minister of Energy German Galushchenko for the international media organization Project Syndicate.

The document contains an analysis of the impact of previously imposed sanctions on the financial system of the Russian Federation, a list of recommendations for increasing pressure on the aggressor state and a map of risks of the implementation of sanctions policy.

"We are very grateful to the Italians, to the Italian government, to all of you for what you are doing for Ukraine. We will never forget that. We are grateful for the weapons and the loud voice in support of granting Ukraine the status of a candidate for EU membership. But please understand: this is not a charity, but an investment in your own security, in our common peace, in our common free future," Andriy Yermak said.
