The interlocutors also discussed the course of preparation of a bilateral security agreement. Jens Plötner noted the progress made by the negotiating teams of Ukraine and Germany in this regard.

During the conversation, Andriy Yermak emphasized the importance of regular contacts between the Ukrainian and South African sides.

The parties thoroughly discussed the revised draft of the relevant security agreement and agreed on positions on certain elements of the document. 

Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Andriy Yermak met with a delegation from the French Republic, including the diplomatic advisor to the President of France, Emmanuel Bonne, the head of the military staff of the President of France, Fabien Mandon, and advisors to the President of France, Xavier Chatel and Bertrand Buchwalter.

Separately, Andriy Yermak thanked Ian Borg and all of Malta for supporting the launch of the International Coalition for the Return of Ukrainian Children.

The head of the Office of the President emphasized the need to send a clear signal to Russia that its aggression cannot violate the sovereignty of independent states and determine the fate of other free nations.

The International Coalition for the Return of Ukrainian Children, co-headed by Ukraine and Canada, has commenced its work and presented the Framework Document of its activities at a meeting in Kyiv.

The interlocutors discussed the schedule of contacts at the highest level and the possible timing of the start of bilateral security talks.

Andriy Yermak emphasized that every day and night Ukrainian cities and communities suffer from Russia's terrorist aerial attacks, so the need to bolster Ukraine's air defense system remains highly pressing.

Pursuant to the instruction of President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy, Head of the Presidential Office Andriy Yermak met with members of the Council for Entrepreneurship Support under Martial Law.
