Advisor and Presidential Commissioner for Sanctions Policy Vladyslav Vlasiuk held a briefing for heads of diplomatic missions and representatives of EU embassies in Ukraine on an analysis of the impact of sanctions on the Russian Federation and strategies to strengthen the restrictions.

Deputy Head of the Office of the President Ihor Zhovkva met with the Heads of the Security Policy Departments at the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Denmark, Iceland, Norway, Sweden, and Finland.

At the end of October, during a meeting with civil society representatives, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy received a letter of request from relatives of released prisoners regarding the possibility of introducing a deferment of mobilization for this category of Ukrainians. The Head of State instructed the Deputy Head of the Presidential Office, Iryna Vereshchuk, to consider this issue.

Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Andriy Yermak participated online in an event focused on the environmental security clause of the Peace Formula. The event was held at the Ukrainian Pavilion during the United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP29) in Baku.

The Yermak-McFaul International Sanctions Group has released a new working paper titled “Next Steps on Energy Sanctions: Tools for Increasing Pressure on Russia in 2025.”

Iryna Mudra, Deputy Head of the Office of the President, opened the meeting online and urged participants to accelerate the work on establishing the Commission.

Representatives from the Coordination Headquarters explained the processes behind locating and securing the release of civilians from Russian captivity and provided updates on efforts in this area.

Vladyslav Vlasiuk, Advisor and Presidential Commissioner for Sanctions Policy, met with Damien Spleeters, Director of Expeditionary Operations at a British organization Conflict Armament Research.

The Advisor to the Head of the Presidential Office, Dariia Zarivna, presented the Bring Kids Back UA initiative of the President of Ukraine and the findings of the Task Force co-chaired by the Head of the Presidential Office, Andriy Yermak, and the Director of the International Bar Association’s Human Rights Institute, Lady Helena Kennedy LT KC, at the European Parliament. She presented the recommendations of the second White Paper.
