Once operational, the Tribunal will have the authority to prosecute Russian political and military leaders bearing the highest responsibility for the crime of aggression.

Andriy Yermak briefed Jonathan Powell on the situation on the battlefield and the needs of Ukrainian troops on the front line. He emphasized that strengthening Ukraine’s position is essential for achieving a just and lasting peace.

The parties agreed to enhance the missions’ operations, particularly at other key energy infrastructure sites. President Zelenskyy also thanked the IAEA Director General for supporting Ukraine’s strategy to complete the construction of nuclear units at the Khmelnytskyi Nuclear Power Plant.

During the meeting, participants analyzed the significant support for past Ukrainian initiatives within the UN, agreed on steps to increase the number of supporting votes from the countries of the abovementioned regions, and developed a diplomatic communication plan to expand the international coalition in support of Ukraine.
